Cass County is located in southwestern Iowa. It is named for Lewis Cass, an American politician.
The seat and the largest city are both Atlantic.
Main highways through the county include I-80, US-6, US-71, IA-83 and IA-92.
The county borders Audubon, Adair, Adams, Montgomery, Pottawattamie and Shelby Counties.
